FreePBX Benefits Pt. 3 - One Phone Number

Third Reason - One Phone Number I don’t like giving out my cell phone number to people. Now we give them our home number whether it is for my wife or for me.

When someone presses 1 for me, it rings the house phone and my cell phone and my laptop at the same time. (I worked in an area with internet, but not a decent cell signal, so I had a soft phone on my MacBook Pro)

If I am at home, I answer it there and don’t pay cell charges.

If I am out, I choose whether or not I want to answer it on my cell phone. If I don’t, the PBX takes a message for me.

The point is, I don’t miss important calls. I can always be reached if I want to without having to give out home/work/cell/wife’s cell numbers.
